Standard mileage rates for business use

Beginning with 2004 the standard mileage rate may be used for up to four vehicles used simultaneously.  In addition to the mileage rate deduct parking, tolls, interest* (business only) and property tax* (business only).   *At the business use percentage.

2016 – 54 cents per mile (depreciation component 24 cents [Notice 2016-1])

2015 – 57.5 cents per mile (depreciation component 24 cents [Notice 2014-79])

2014 – 56 cents per mile (depreciation component 22 cents [Notice 2013-80])

2013 – 56.5 cents per mile (depreciation component 23 cents [Notice 2012-72])

2012 – 55.5 cents per mile (depreciation component 23 cents [Notice 2012-1])

2011 – 51 cents per mile for 1/1/11 to 6/30/11 (depreciation component 22 cents)

55.5 cents per mile for 7/1/11 to 12/31/11 (depreciation component 22 cents)

2010 – 50 cents per mile (depreciation component 23 cents)

2009 – 55 cents per mile (depreciation component 21 cents)

2008 – 50.5 cents per mile for 1/1/08 to 6/30/08 (depreciation component 21 cents)

58.5 cents per mile for 7/1/08 to 12/31/08 (depreciation component 21 cents)

2007 – 48.5 cents per mile (depreciation component 19 cents)

2006 – 44.5 cents per mile

2005 – 40.5 cents per mile for 1/1/05 to 8/31/05

48.5 cents per mile for 9/1/05 to 12/31/05

2004 – 37.5 cents per mile A

2003 – 36.0 cents per mile

2002 – 36.5 cents per mile

2001 – 34.5 cents per mile

2000 – 32.5 cents per mile

1999 – 32.5 cents per mile for 1/1/99 to 3/31/99
